I don't quite understand it

I've just checked this blog's stats and it surprise me 'cos it seems to have a higher page view than my other sites which I update more frequently, but of course the overall page view for the site is way lower than My Crafty Space (my other blog).

Having said that, most of the post opportunities are for this blog instead of the other, probably due to the fact that I normally don't accept any paid post over in My Crafty Space, as I treat it solely as my hobby outlet, a place to showcase what I did as a creative self.

Well, it is only just few days ago that someone trigger me to rethink again the purpose of my blogs, of me being a blogger and what I hope to get out from posting.

I've heard that there ARE really bloggers out there who earns in average RM2k per month all due to advertisement and paid posting! Now, I would really love to be part of the cake!

RM2k! That would be enough for me to quite my job, stay home and be a full-time mom at the same time blog! Not forgetting doing my craft of course.

Do you all earn from the blog-o? Mine sharing how you got started and how you earn?

What happened to team work?

Ya, what happened to team work and the spirit of being helpful?

I don't see that in certain people. Now.. the thing is when I asked for help from our IT department to put together 3 new PCs, it took them more than 2 weeks to get the job done, even that still, there are some software that haven't been installed.

When I ask for setting up simple remote desktop connection to our library system, he answered me it is not his job scope!? What!?

What the h*ll you are talking about? Not your job scope!?

You are suppose to just put a remote desktop connection, I'm not asking you to get into the library system and do some administration work!?

Okay, fine. I get it done on one of the PC and taught him how to go to set up the connection. Yes, me, a librarian, who is not even working in the IT department and yet I know.

How did that happened?

I can learn and same goes to you. It is just so darn easy. You just need to learn it and then do that simple job. Doesn't even need to write down in your job scope.

It just need the spirit of helping others, of wanting to know, of wanting to feel useful. That's all. How hard can that be?

You can't just rely on one of the technician to do everything. You are part of the team, you ARE suppose to help one another.

I hope I've taught him properly and that he can remember what I've said. Else history will repeat itself again.

Butt paste

Pizza time!

Time flies. Christmas came and gone, and we have already ushered in the year 2011.

Now is the time to get prepared for the Lunar New Year some more. Just so fast, too fast!

I wish Chinese New Year doesn't come so early, I still want to just relax and not to think about the new year yet. New clothes for the kids, new this and that. Deco for the house, red packet money etc.

I'm just not in the mood yet.

I do love Chinese New Year. It is a time for family gathering and lots of great food, updates for long lost friends (even family). I love the atmosphere. I love all red. Yes, everything red and gold to usher in the good chi.

But I still think that I'm not ready yet. Just give me another 1 or 2 months. Let me just get more settle into the new year first. Please, Mr. Time...

Season to give

“This is the time to give.” As my colleague said when she passed me two tickets for children party last week.

Yes, this is the season to give, especially if you can buy gifts and thraw on a Christmas party for friends and family. What more if your guests are able to bring some token home with them and you can spend some time mingle away during the party.

As usual, this is the time that the town is jam pack with people doing Christmas shopping, and some even doing wardrobe make-over for the Chinese New Year which is less than 2 months away.

Would love to be able to buy and buy without worry about the thickness of my wallet. Even better if I can shop at home or at least like Pier 1 - browse at home, make a shopping list and just get them from their store.

I would really love to have some household decoration to deck the hall, some Christmas stockings so the boys can have something to look forward to, and those wine glasses that I’m still lacking of.

For ladies, maybe toiletries is the number one in my shopping list, who doesn’t love the fragrance of a bar soap or candle? I would definitely love these as my holiday gifts.

But don’t forget the true meaning of Christmas. It is the birth of Jesus that we are celebrating, it is truely a season of giving and why not buy from Pier 1 Imports and support Toys for Tots by dropping off an unwrapped toy or making a cash donation at the register?

Another simple steps that we all can do is to like Pier 1 Imports on Facebook, ‘cos for every new fa they get, they’ll donate US$1 to Toys for Tots!

I consider myself a lazy person, else I won't have my hair re-bond (straighten), else I won't be complaining lazy to wash my hair or even got comments from my little boy saying that my hair smelled, ha!! Well, he loves to smell my hair and he did it everyday, sort of like a hug for him. So I'll know if I need a hair-wash.

I have been wanted to buy quality salon hair product such as Kerastase, Aveda. However over here, they cost me a ton and it is not easy to get them over the counter. What more if they are not sales item. Yes, I would really love to try out these two products which have international recognition on its quality. I would love to have silky smooth hair too.

I've just got this email from a total stranger who probably just
trying out his luck in sending out emails that hoping someone would
read it, and that someone just happened to be me. Guess what? After
that, out of curiosity, I just enrolled myself with it without knowing
for sure what will happened next.

Just who knows, right? So here, just click on this link here and find

I did it once and I did again without knowing that I'll be doing that again! Darn!

I've been so happy that I can get paid post from Social Sparks, so I've reserved it and thank God I got the opportunity, so I wrote away happily. But sadly the opportunity was being reserved for my old blog which no longer belongs to me. I've moved from a dot net to a dot com, but still Social Sparks allow me to have that blog under my list. Darn!

So I've been submitting my new blog to them and got approved, so I went back to reserve the same opportunity again without knowing that they are assigning it to my old blog again! 'cos that damn blog is still in my list!

Now I need to get it clear out from my list so that I can move on and start reserving the right opportunities to my new blog.

It is a failure

Tonight my dinner was a failure. To me, it fail 'cos the suppose to be chicken rice turn out to be too salty. I've put too much chicken stoke, darn!

My angel boys doesn't mind though they do complain that the rice it too salty, so they ended up eating just the eggs and ham. Ya.. that's all I prepared for dinner, not really a good healthy working mom huh?

Anyway, this will be the last, no more salty rice and hopefully I can put in more vegetable next time.

I was planning to do some "kueh" but the supermarket line is down and I don't have much cash with me. So I've only got to get some eggs and onion. God know why I needed the onion, 'cos I didn't even use them.

Anyway, it is the start of weekend, one that we all have been looking forward to. Though it is not really different from the rest of the weekend, but at least weekend I feel more relax, so do the boys. I'm sure we are going to have a awesome weekend.

Do you feel that sometimes you bought things for your kids and it ends up crappy and you never get to use it again? It is like you think this things is good for the kids, and it just look useful and durable, but it turns out that it really doesn't. How I wish there is someone out there who I can get the true comments or feedback about certain product just to help me in deciding if I should really buy it.

That would really save up lots of time and bucks, won't it?

I've removed my shout box over at my other site. This site is a bit stagnant, ya.. tell me about it. I've been busy updating my scrapbook site and other musing site of mine. It is a bit sad that now I don't get much of paid post to do. I'm one that will write if there is a push or there is a prompt of words to use. I'm also keen in doing that to get some funds for my scrapbook materials.

Just finger crossed that I can get my pay post back up again.

Why is that I get bored with my own blog? I am bored with the layout. I'm bored of myself. Ha! Can I change myself to another person, 'cos I can change the look of a blog, but can I really change myself, maybe to another person? It would be really hard, isn't it?

I mean I can imagine I'm someone else provided that I know that person really well. I can pretend that I am someone else provided others won't know who I really am. But can I really be someone else?

I don't think so. "The best I can be is me." I remember seeing this sentence and even have used that in my scrapbook.

I've actually added new things in this blog - Link Within. Hoping to add some "colors" in it, but hey, I found out that I don't have that many photos to be in the Link Within. So it turns out to be boring again. I'm back to square one.

Let's just go out and have some crazy thing, or maybe just some brave things that I should be doing and not doing. Let me see.. what is it.. hmm.. maybe have a beer or two.. hmm.. that means I can't drive after that.. bummer.. can't do.. what about getting myself a new dress. Ha! that would do. but hey, my wallet is kind of empty now.. so that can't be.. *sigh* What else can I do. Let's just change the look of this blog first.

I've basically abondoned this site! Look at my last post, it was in Oct 2009! It was half a year ago! Where have I been you may ask.

Well, I kind of putting my concentration on my other blog - The Daily where I showcase my scrapbook finds and dos. I'm officially one of the designer over at Scrap-a-little and had kept myself busy with Scrapbook Deals4U challenges, not forgetting sketch challenge over at Creative Scrappers.

I still maintain other sites of mine which recently one of them has been taken back without prior notice all due to the irresponsible hostess that I was with (someone call ferocio.us), bummer! So along the way I've lost one site but I bought and built a new site with similar name. Hopefully I can keep up with all these and still manage to pop in once a while on this little blog of mine.

I know some of you might be hearing a lot of hoax things happening in the cyber world now a days, but let me assure you that this is real, though I don't know these people, but how could it be hoax when all she (Johwey) ask is to have a Christmas card drive which started off due to her nephew - Gavin. Infant Formula

I know.. let me just start this off with how apologetic I'm unto this site. It has been ages that I didn't write a new post here. I'm glad that Blogspot didn't just shut this site down, I'm glad that I still remember the site URL and come in here to write again.

I'm going to take about a topic that I haven't been touching for a long time ever since I've stopped breast-feeding 3 years ago when my second son turned one. I strongly believe that human breast is the best for baby especially those that under 1 year old.

I don't believe that there is any infant formula when we human started having baby, breast-milk is the only food resource and yet we've survive and in fact healthy enough to have so many more generations!

I know most of us trying to get the best for our kids especially in nutrition wise. Especially after the incident of the milk fraud case over in China, every parent would pay extra attention on the nutritional content of the milk formula that they are going to get.

I'm glad to hear that over in the US, all milk formula that are regulated by FDA contains the same nutritional level according to the report from Reuters. It also means store brand formula doesn't necessarily better than normal unbranded formula that you can get in the US.

I wish that this can be carried out all around the world with the assurance from the government or the relevant health organisation concerning those infant formula that are available on shelves.

Coin collection

I used to collect stamps. Local, international, exchanged or bought. Anyway and any kind that I can get hold of. I've put them into stamp albums, guarding them from anyone at all. But somehow I don't have pen-pals. Then time past and I've totally forgotten about them till the day my sister came home with coins, not gold coins, but just mint coins from Bank Negara. Then it occurs to me that people do have things to collect, be it stamps, gold coins, antique furniture, paper and for those wealthy one, they'll collect gold instead. For sure gold is in a better value and more secure state as it won't rusk, it won't tear off, or even easily burn down to ashes.

I would collect gold if I have the money though its value might be different over time, but still I think it will worth it just as long as you make sure no one can steal them away. *LOL*

Enjoyment

Oh goodness, I've been abondaning this site for 2 months now. I'm already thinking to give up on it as I've another blog that using almost the same URL with this site. Anyhow, something hit me today that I just need to write about this.

Much has been going on lately and I've been busy updating my other sites without thinking twice if I should keep this blog. It is a new year now, I think I'll soon came up with a plan for this blog. At the mean time, it is almost Chinese New Year now, we have lots of plans for it, but not sure if any of them will be materialize. I'm hoping for a short trip with the family to Tenom, a town nearby. I'm also hoping that the kids can go for a swim or at least play with the cousins while they are staying in a hotel, just to enjoy the facilities there as guests. Probably as a guest, I would go to enjoy the sauna over there.

I seldom get to enjoy a good sauna, relaxing while the steam help me to detox and rejuvenate my skin. The only time that I've tried a sauna all by myself was over in Semporna. A small town in Sabah. I've never tried infrared saunas before and am not sure what really are the differences between normal sauna and infrared saunas. If I have the chance I would love to try it out.

According to some reports, infrared saunas can assist with the symptoms of weight loss, join stiffness and the most common one, increases blood flow, that's what I mean by rejuvenating my skin *wink*.

Well, finger crossed that at least I can enjoy the normal traditional sauna during this Chinese New Year.

About watching TV

You know how sometimes you love this TV show and you wanted to watch it with full concentration but there is someone else in the family who would like to join you but ask you lots of questions!?

Ya, I know, me too, I hate it! The worst is when the show is finished, this family member of mine asked, "Why? So who is the real killer?"

Okay, I'm heading out of there and gone straight to bed! >:)

I was watching CSI last night and my sister wanted to join me, she gave her full concentration about the series with the volume turn down 'cos everyone were in bed. Somehow I managed to get the whole story and maybe almost every line that they said, 'cos I still read the Malay subtitles *wink*.

oh.. I was so mean, I told her to go to bed *wuahahaha!!*

Well, anyway, I still explained to her at the end la.. what to do, my big sis you know!

Stagnant

My mum goes to work

This book is big in illustration. It is fun looking and the pictures also make it funny.

Its sentences repeat over the pages so that it sounds a bit like rhyme and also let your child get familiar with certain words like "so much" and"my mom goes to work". It also introduces new bonding words like love, cuddle, play with me, paint with me etc. This is one way in getting the child to deal with his feelings of missing mom and to let him know mom still loves him.

My boys especially love the pictures in it. Even before I read to them, Cal was telling a story out from the book itself to little Mer!

A fun book indeed.

Who's a cheeky baby?

Yup, love this book. I Read it to my two boys, though they may be a bit too old for this book, but it was a fun read. I especially like how it linked everything together and the illustration is superb. It even has a before and after illustration for the story.

It is one book that mother and child would enjoy.

Through the reading, questions like "Where are the keys?", "How many birds you see?", or simply, "What happen next?" after reading once to your child. I bet they'll participate anxiously and would gladly tell you what happened. Be prepare for a few questions like why baby doesn't want to let go of the keys? And you might end up with your child repeating the phrase "Goodness, gracious me!"

my eyes

After all this while that I've been enjoying my 20/20 eyesight, let me just share with you what happened before my LASIK operation.

I used to woke up looking blur and then straight away look for my glasses which I kept nearby on the table. I used to wear contact lenses just so I don't need to without those blurry glasses during a hot meal with soup. If I was wearing my lenses the whole day, then I'll get dry eyes and have to take them off right when I got home from work. I used to get red eye due to the lenses irritation.

I have also lost a few glasses because I sat on them without knowing, there were also those that being pulled apart by my son. Basically I don't like to wear glasses. I used to think that it is cool to have glasses on, maybe I'll look for intellectual on them, so I thought.

Then I heard about LASIK from friends, and highly recommended by my colleague. I did some search in the Internet then found out that the NASA and US military personal gone to have their eye treated and they get perfect vision. So if they can do it, why not me, right?

After much encouragement from my colleague and the desire to have clear vision when I get up every morning, I went for my LASIK treatment more than a year ago. Surprisingly it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. It didn't hurt because my eyes has been dripped with painkiller before that. The whole process is actually very fast, only right after the operation that I need to lay down and have my eyes shut for an hour as they let out lots of tears.

The doctor just need to create a corneal flap on my eye's, treat it with laser to correct the vision then close back the flap. Now with advancement, iLASIK is even better than LASIK because the flap cutting part is done by laser with precision, thus the result also mush safer and accurate then LASIK.

After the operation, I was required to wear sun glasses and not to rub my eyes vigorously. I was also being prescribed with pain killer and also some eye drop for them to heal. Going back for check up on the vision is a must to get to know how well my eyes recover and also what vision I have after that.

You can have more LASIK information on many sites and with the LASIK technology now a day, I can assure you that it will worth to go for it if you are wearing a thick glasses now.

Got a chance to watch Eagle eye today at Hall 8 of Growball cinema, am really glad we made it there right at the show started!
The whole show reminds me of Enemy of the state, except this time it keeps me guessing till middle of the show. Non stop action movie to me and non stop guessing game going on to guess who really is the woman behind the whole game of manipulation.
The who is just a little less than 2 hours, with the big screen, we get to enjoy it in full!

Got this review from Internet Movie Database: "Jerry and Rachel are two strangers thrown together by a mysterious phone call from a woman they have never met. Threatening their lives and family, she pushes Jerry and Rachel into a series of increasingly dangerous situations, using the technology of everyday life to track and control their every move."

So, after the show, it made me think that we could really be watched by someone with all this new trackable technology!

I must say it is a good show worth watching definitely.

Don’t you feel bored sometimes while you are online or getting things done with your PC? Say you were given this assignment by your boss that you need to finished it off and sometimes you just don’t have the idea on how to get started, what would you do? Play a game? But with who?

You can actually play some online game and you boss still think that you are hard at work.

Here is one suggestion:play the game call Banzai.

How to play the game? It has got simple and straight forward instructions, you just need to watch some stunts from some Super Banzai Video Show, then start betting on the outcome of the stunt, but you’ll need to use your chopsticks! Yes, using chopsticks to fill the betting bowl with sushi!! That already sound hilarious to me. Wait till you try that game, it will get your adrenalin flowing and at the same time put smile (maybe laugh) on your face. Now, that surely will cure your boredom from your work! *LOL*

I feel like getting rid all the advert from my blog, especially Blogvertise, Smorty and GoogleAdSense. 'cos they are just jamming up my pages and doing nothing for me. There is no new opportunity in Smorty and Blogvertise, no people click on the advert banner. So what's the point of having them here, right?

So I'll be clearing them off. Even Nuffnang also got no respond. Wasting the time to load my page actually.

Another about me is that, I find that I seldom update this blog. I've been busy posting up in Glad2bhere and The Daily. Especially The Daily, I've been posting up and recording what I've done on my scrapbooking. As for Glad2bhere, it has become like a dairy for me. As for this blog, I'm not sure what I should categorise it under. But I do posting of SocialSpark opportunities here, so I can't possibly just let it go.

Blogspot in China

Yup, I can access blogspot here in China now. It was previously being blocked and there are lots of blogs that I can't read by itself instead I've to use my Google reader to read the updates on those blogs that I like. Meaning I need to subscribe to them to read them over using Google reader.

Now, I can log into my own blogspot and edit post right there. I'm hoping that they (the China government) will unblocked Typepad too as I've some other scrapbook blogs that I like to read who are using Typepad, like Making Memories, Prima and Ali Edward.

There are some other sites that are being blocked too, can't recall them right now. I hope they'll open up their policy more in such that they don't just block anything sharing the same domain but instead blog individual sites if they must. This involve the issue of freedom of rights I suppose, but then again they can always argue and like "Enemy of the states" put it, they are watching us!

Things I don't do

There are things that I must do and must not do in my daily life about friends.

What I must do everyday is to check for updates from my friends, over email, blogs and sometimes calls.

One thing that I don’t do is to initiate a chat with stranger with intention to make new friends. I don’t. It is somehow scary and nerve cracking for me to do that. I normally make friends through friends. So most of my friends are from school, work or church.

If you ask me if there is any pick-up line that I use, that would definitely be zero. I admire those in movies, people used certain pick-up line that really attracts the opposite sex and then develop from there. But I do wonder if anyone in real life using those lines and actually succeeding in chatting up a stranger.

Probably I can start playing Extreme Style by VO5 to learn some new lines, but will I really going to use them later? I doubt it.

The Ultimate Flirting Championship that feature in the VO5 website show the important of having victory hair which to me, I would rather stick to my own hair style at the moment than spending tons of money in altering it.

I’m not sure, maybe you all can have a go and see, who knows some of you really in need of some interesting pick-up line.

Goodness, I've almost totally forgotten about this blog. I've been abondoning it for so long! The last post was in July! Goodness! Hannie, where have you been!??

Well, I've been updating my other two blogs, my scrapbook & craft blog; and my personal blog, which also helps me to get some return in my PayPal account. Thus I've also been surfing online and getting my scrapbook stuff online with what I've got in PayPal. Not a lot but at least something for me to look forward to.

I've actually planned to write a review on X-Files (the 2nd movie). But just couldn't put myself down to write about it. Maybe I'll talk abit about it here right now.

I like the movie, I love it especially when this one it got more lovey dovey things shown between Agen Scully and Fox Mulder. I love it 'cos I get to see Fox Mulder hunky body *wink* But this time, it doesn't really felt like X-Files, to me it is not so X-Files.. it is just something else rather than the normal X-Files that I saw. Still, I love it!

The eerie part to me was when the doctor wanted to cut off the head of the victim.. yiak!!

I've got my pop-corn ready after getting our tickets in Growball CPS. We (me and my colleague)were surprised to find that it was on Theatre 8! The new theatre situated in between Palm Square and stretch until the 8th floor! It was pretty new, toilet was clean (still) and the way they number the seats are different. It has been separated into odd and even number, but we got number 1 & 2, so it doesn't matter which entrance we took, we'll still end up in the middle of the theatre.

Just one thing I wanted to complaint is the lighting on the staircase, it is not enough and misleading, my colleague even twisted her ankle!

I hope that next time when I do go there again, the toilet is still clean, the seats are still nice and comfortable.

IT knowledge

Want to talk a bit about myself, well, not really much, not so personal, just some work experience that I've previously. Still in the current job, but I was in the IT department before, doing non other than webmaster job! Yup, being almost the pioneer in creating out company's website, from scratch! I went through trainings, lots of them! There were a bunch of us who deals with the web-content. We learn basic HTML, bit of graphic design, bit of animation and bits of website mapping, and that's it, we were all alone there.

On other time, I managed to learn by myself over the net. Support is plenty if I look for it, if the department is willing to send us out for more training. But the thing about IT is that change is constant. New things happen everyday.

During those days, training in the IT world is pretty expensive, expert is hard to find. What more we were always a step slower than the developed countries. Our gadget is always not the latest. Out ideas are there, but IT support is limited. It would be very nice at those days that we can have training such as those in Cisco or at least with Cisco certification.

I'm still very much into site building, except I'm more to blogging which already have a ready plate-form itself, so I don't need to worry too much about the site design. However I still give out my para-professional opinion to my IT department personal on the website creation. I so hope my opinion is always at help, that also means I need to keep myself up to date with the latest happening.

Bleach the movie

It is amazing how people can come up with such unique names for those Manga characters and to me I've been growing up with books filled with comic characters and I love those especially with beautiful drawings and love stories. If I were a Manga character, probably I'll still chose back my unique (ehem..) name: fonmee (sounds like phone me!?) plus a few Japanese sound and it may just turn out as "fonmika", probably it does mean something, who knows. But I hope it is with a good meaning (even if it is not, can I just made something up?).

There is a movie that might got the interest of those who love to watch Manga which will be showing in theaters nationwide on June 11th and 12th. NCM Fathom and Viz Media will be presenting Bleach the Movie to selected movie theatres in North America during this two-night theatre event. They will include an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the talent behind the characters. For movie detail, check it out here and the event is English dubbed.

Indiana Jones

Finally I watch "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" with hubby yesterday in Growball, CPS.

Well, what can I say, Harison is definitely not young anymore and through out the film, he made me think of my dad all the time and comparing him with my dad *LOL* My dad is over 70 *grin*.

I still like those part that you don't know what is coming up next and like Indy, he doesn't plan that far either. As for the special effects, there is just too many coincidence that they didn't get killed. What a luck they have!

Is it worth to see it? Ya! Definitely. There are still parts that are witty just like old time and Indy with his special smirk on his face.

But guess what, my hubby slept on the first few parts, he is just too tired maybe and Indy is not his kind of movie.

I know Indiana Jones has been up almost a week now, but I still haven't have the chance to watch it yet, grrrr... so the plan is to watch it next Monday when hubby is back for a few days. It is now in my top priority list.

Another thing is to celebrate his birthday (belated) together. Other than my hubby, we got a few friends sharing birthday this month, they are Ying (2nd), Spidy (today), Avril (12th). I'm sure there are still one or two that I've missed out, but these few are those that I remember. Happy birthday to you all.

I know Earth Day has long gone (22 April) but everyday should be earth day as Osindak puts it, I totally agree with her. There are a few things that we can do everyday for our mother earth. First thing and this is the simplest one: BYOB (Bring Your Own Bag). Yup, just learn it from The Oprah Magazine. BYOB.
I don't see many people doing it here. I went into Giant yesterday requesting to have the recycle bag that they are selling from the cashier assistance and yet she doesn't understand what I meant, 'cos later she still pulled out plastic bags and intended to put my groceries in there. NO!! Use the bag! Ya, why buying it and not using it, right?
In Hong Kong supermarket, people are being charged for the plastic bag if they must use it, else most of them would have gone in with their own grocery bag.
I'm quoting from The Oprah Magazine about BYOB: "An estimated 12 million barrels of oil are consumed in manufacturing the plastic bags we use and discard each year (for paper bags, the annual toll is 14 million trees). Can I live without my credit card? Probably not. I'm so used to have it in my wallet even if I'm not using it. It is for a "just-in-case" thing. I would prefer to use it for buying groceries, dining and online shopping. I know it is not such a good habit to use it, because it is just so convenient and got myself trap in debt. However upon all these worries, I don't get myself in debt, I always paid the bill in time and also making sure I don't over spend.

I'm saying for the convenient sake that you don't need to bring cash everywhere, especially if you can see the "Master / Visa" sign everywhere now.

If I’m to use my credit card, sometimes I can buy things that I can't afford with cash with their 0% interest instalment plan. How nice it could be, because I don't loose a dim just because I'm using their card. Some cards even offer some percentage of cash back!

Narnia - Prince Caspian

It was facinating and we were all being put in an imaginary world right after the train arrived. "Just like magic", as Lucy put it.
This is my first Narnia movie, have missed the 1st one and now am intented to watch it no matter what. Initially I wanted to bring my two boys with me, but knowing that they love transformer more than any other movie, I drop that idea. Don't want to end up in the toilet or outside in the pop-corn corner.
The movie is both funny and adventurous with lots of special effect and have put me into some guessing as well. I just love the little mouse who hates people saying him cute and those "You are just a mouse!" parts. Oh, not forgetting our "DLF" - Dear little friend's expression when he sees Aslan.
If my boys were there, I doubt that they understand what they said, it was hard for me to catch some of the words, maybe is my poor English, so in some part I'm glad that we have subtitles, but in some part, I wish the subtitles weren't there.
On another thing, both me and my neace think Edmund is cute. *wink*

Goodness, this blog is getting stagenent, I haven't been posting frequently, it is getting slow, what should I do!?
Well, can't blame anyone else since I'm the one who is lazy to update the post here. I've been busy updating my scrapbook site and my (not so) personal site and have almost totally forgotten about this one. Ya.. this post will be a yagkidiyag from me.
Only over lunch and news reading that I realise I'm missing out some movies, and I really need a break, I need some good shows. I would love to watch Iron Man, Chronicals of Narnia : Prince Caspian, What happened in Vegas (not sure if I've got this right).
Once I've done that then I can give some review over here. At the mean time I was given some CDs to do on learning French and Korean, bonjouir and anyong hase yo!

This morning I heard over the radio about a commercial on Citizen Eco Drive watch. How could it be? I've been wearing this on my wrist almost a year ago and now then I hear it from the radio, now than it is here!? Are we that late in the market or they just didn't do the commercial? I'm not sure about if that is the latest news in the watch industry, but just now when I past by Warisan Square and saw Espirit's window displaying the latest clothes, I was glad to notice that they are showing the latest ones, same like those that I saw in Macau. So I suppose it is just the matter of industries and commercial.

On another thing, thought I'm going to share this with you, got this email from a friend:

My new cam

Have got a new digi cam from hubby - Panasonic DMX-FX36. Same brand with the one own by my sis which I've been using previously, just that this one is in a higher series.
DMX-FX36 has several new features, such as wide angle, intelligent auto mode and movie functions. These are several that I've discovered so far (I haven't read he user manual yet). There maybe some other new features that I haven't known of yet. Ya.. call me novice, I'm not a pro in taking photos and not so a digital person either, but have preferred digital cam than manual ones.
The only problem that I am facing now is to get it connected to this PC, which it just doesn't detect the memory card *sigh*, means I can't get my photos out to the PC and share them in my blogs.
All that I can enjoy now is just taking photos, hopefully with better effect and better result. With the Intelligent auto mode (iA), it has face, scene, motion, light and shake detection. Anyhow I don't quite see the differences and the conveniences that it provide, just not yet.
What is bothering me now is more to get it loaded and edit it so that I can share right away what I've seen, where I've been, and what I've enjoyed during my meal time.

Yup, another holiday away from home for two weeks. Will be heading off to Hong Kong and China. Some of you might be saying "Again!?" Ya.. what to do, hubby is working in China ma.. But this time, at least I can spend a week in Hong Kong. Dad will be following us this time. We are going to stay in my sis' place in Hong Kong - in her two room apartment. Umm.. haven't thought of how to settle in yet. There will be just too many of us in a house maybe. My sis got two boys and a maid, so that made them 5, then I've my dad and two boys, that will be 9 of us there. When hubby go to fetch us from the air-port, it will be 10 of us there!

How are we going to jam pack into this just over 1000 square feet of space?

I'll be away and that probably means no blogging for me in blogspot. I know I definitely can't access blogspot from China as blogspot is being blocked over there. Actually I still can but without a proper title which I can do from using Google Document to post my entry. But without a title, all the pay post will not accept my entry.. :o(

Ok, I'm getting depress just by thinking about it.. anyway, I'll just have to make do without blogging, but at least I can start my sis' scrapbook as she has already received two personal shopper kit from me as a gift. The good thing is she doesn't know how to start..hehee.. so I'll have the honor to do that for her. yay!

Income tax

I'm not a well organised person, so every year came to this time of the year, I'll have to find all those information that I needed for the form such as my book receipt which I do keep in an envelop. Other things such as dividen, rent, maintenance etc.. arhggg!! I just hate filling my income tax form. :o(

Telemarketer

Just got a call from ACE insurance company. First time I got a male telemarketer calling, he sounds so young and sounds like he is having a flu. He was maybe trying to finished his sentences in the shortest time possible. It was funny to me.
When I rejected the offer, he even tried to persuade me.. oh well.. just not the time to have another new insurance cover yet, further more this one doesn't have a cash bonus. That is also the reason why it is cheaper.
Maybe he'll call again in another two days. Let's see.

She's the man?

The title sounds weird huh!? How could a she be a man? I'm not talking about tranvertise here.. it is just this movie title call "She's the man" directed by Andy Fickman.
I watched this on Saturday night using our mobile DVD player (won by hubby in a lucky draw, isn't it great!?), that is after the boys are sleep ler..
It is a comedy plus romance movie. This is the first time I see Amanda Bynes. Never knew who she is and never seen her in any other movie. Didn't expect her to look like a boy after the help of a friend by using wick, mustarch and sideburn and go without the normal girl makeup, definitely no mascara there.
It is funny and it is nice to see some pretty faces and "hot" male figure there as she puts it in the movie.
Rated PG-13 for some sexual material by MPAA.

Shopping cart

I've mentioned marketing pen on the other blog of mine - Glad To Be Here dot net. And here I'm talking about online shopping. I was also talking about blogging and here I'm doing some surfing also. I have also mentioned in previous blog that shopping cart software is pretty important for having a good online shop. It helps user to browse effectively on the online shop and also getting them back again with an effective one.

This is another one which is similar to the previous one that I've mentioned that offer a good shopping cart.

Now it got my thinking how can I have such requirement for a shopping cart, this maybe due to my love to shop for scrapbook materials online. I can't really get scrapbook material here in town, so I resort to online shops. I've been surfing and jumping from one site to the other to get the best offer online, sometimes bump into sites that doesn't really offer suggestion box even or some that doesn't provide a wish list that I can come back to. I'm surprise how did they survive their business if they don't have all those that I've just mentioned earlier.

So, to me, it would really help if they have a good ecommerce software. Try out this if you are doing online shop or preparing to have one soon.

It is weekend again

Yup, another Saturday almost gone, so fast.
What I did? Well, pampered time for myself, got myself a facial. A good time for me to relax and get some nap, and at the same time got my skin clense and pampered with mask and ultrasound. The beautician told me the ultrasound is good for blood circulation.. ok.. whatever it is, I hope it will show on my face, to be better of course.
As for the kids, they spent the whole afternoon without nap in my sister's place playing with their cousins. Well.. not much chance for them to do that actually, that's why I didnt' stop them when they said they wanted to be there.
And now, am in my in-law's home, trying to blog *wink*

Shopping concerns

Recently just get to know someone who is doing online business on cloth diaper and got myself dreaming again to have my own online shop one day. Another thought that came into my mind is "wow, we have so many bloggers in Sabah, and I can easily bump into one that know some of my friends!" This is really a small world, what more we are globally link with other bloggers in the world. So anytime on the road when I travel, sure I'll meet someone who blog. However, so far I haven't met one blogger from China and blogging from China since their government block a lot of bloggin sites including blogspot. That is why I can't really update my blog if I'm away to China, which will happen again end of this month and this time is for two weeks. I hope I can access blogspot in Hong Kong because I'm going to spend a week there.
Well, probably by that time I won't have time to blog even and hopefully I'm busy away shopping. Yes, what more to ask if I'm in the shopping heaven other than shopping, right?However I'll have to think about if I can do that over there when my two boys will be with me all the time. *sigh*
So, maybe I have to resort to online shopping. So if you are doing online business, do let me know and maybe also check out this shopping cart software
I've ever bumped into some online shop that doesn't really have a user friendly shopping cart. For instance I've to click several levels down in order to see the price and then to put it into my cart. Some also doesn't include wish list that I can go back again and check on those things that I found useful and can't decide then. Honestly speaking, if I were to open an online shop, I'll make sure that my shopping cart is working in tip top condition and user friendly, so I'll definitely have a good ecommerce software in my online shop.

Qing Ming (清明)

[aiya.. direct translate one la.. so not sure if the grammar is correct, just handam.]

But we always change the last three words to "Bak Kung San" (In Hakka means cemetery)

Then we would tell ghost stories and don't go out that day, mostly just stay home after school.

Goodness, I finally got the guts to register this blog with Smorty.
I'm sure most of you have heard of Smorty which you can provide service to advertise on blogs.
I've been really thinking if I should do that, it means more hour spend in front of the PC checking on Smorty's site to know if there is any assignment for me. For the previous site that I've registered with them, it has been static for some times in getting assignment. Most probably due to my low traffic. (I better do something about it.)
Let me just tell you more about Smorty. This is the title of a video that I've just viewed, but in Indonesian - "Apa artinya cinta?"

I didn't expected much at first but seeing all those names listed and also some other films that they did, I was curious. So I managed to view the whole show with some part of forwarding viewing.

Witty I must said, with lots of twist. Because it is in Indonesian language, I had to look at the subtitles to get what they really were saying. I keep on admiring the pretty faces on screen and keep on wondering what race they are. Chinese? Mixture?

A film worth watching if you like love story with a touch of humour.

Back and about Pan's Labyrinth

Have got back almost a week now and have since been busy with work, blogging and getting my two boys to gain back their weight. They have loose weight from the look of it, not sure how much. I'm glad that we are back 'cos really I'm not a mom who knows how to feed my kids well enough and I find it hard to get them finished off their food or find interest in what I cook. It is sometimes due to the authoritative figure that I've portrait out to them, it just doesn't work most of the time. In other places like school and babysitter place, they are much better, more obedient. Just maybe they have taken for granted mommy is always there for them and mommy is their refuge.

Enough of that beefing stuff, let me share what I've just viewed yesterday: Pan's Labyrinth. A Spanish movie about a little girl who found a mysterious labyrinth near to her new home. The story set in Spain 1944, 5 years past the civil war. She has to set forth to find out if Pan, the labyrinth guardian who is a strange magical and demonic creature, told her is true. That she is the princess who long ago disappeared from an enchanted realm.

The movie has 6 Academy Award nominations! Which are: Best original screenplay, best cinematography, best original score, best foreign language film, best makeup and best art direction. With all these nominations, it is a mush see from me.

No worried that it is in Spanish, there is definitely subtitle available but please .. it has been rated 18++ PL (with combination of two or more elements). Really not suitable for kids, it might scared them till they don't want to get to bed at night.

Watch it if you don't mind about cruel killing by only one shot from soldier and not expecting a good ending.

Going away soon

Cal is getting better but still clingy and requested to be in his grandpa's (my in-law) place instead of my mom's place. Oh well.. since we are leaving soon, might as well just let him la.. So I suppose he must have been having a good time there and for sure there are new toys for him.

As I've mentioned in my other blog, yes, I'm looking elsewhere to do my posting, I'm looking at a new domain, one that solely own by me, of course this involves buying the domain, which I did.

Let's just hope that I can have full access to it when I'm travelling next week.

False measles and fun under the sun

Cal is down with a false measles, the hybrid I suppose. Nothing to worried about, just that he'll be miserable with itches all over his body. Ever since the jab on Saturday for Immunity on flu, he got fever on Monday, then early Tuesday morning, he starts to develop this measles. I wasn't sure what is it at first, mom said is something to do with the fever syrup that he took and something to do with his body, which in case he hasn't got enough water and was under the sun. He seems ok yesterday when I left and mom said he seems to get better, but last night he itch again and I thought to myself I better get him to see the doctor and make sure he is ok to get on board this weekend.

Now he is at home with my mom and will be having bath with some herbs to lessen the itchiness and also cool his body down a bit. Well.. for sure he is "manja" now. And start calling me in the office to ask for sweets and requested to be in my office again. He loves to be in my office 'cos he gets to explore new things.

As for the reason that my mom said he got under the sun too much is because my two little boys "supervise" my dad in mending the drain on Sunday.

When I told my sis about their venture, she said: "yupe, like usual, they are the supervisors and our directors some more." (about her kids)

Ya.. that is the same case with me. They like to watch what us, the adults do, they are just so curious, and at the same time supervising us.

After the supervising job, Mer got himself on the bike and do the off road thing on the front porch which was muddy at that time. I must say, he enjoyed it.

Where I am now

In my in-law's place. Yupe, my holiday house when my hubby is back. Well, not exactly holiday house, 'cos even if he is back sometimes, that is normally not during my holiday. I can't say it is a get-away home too, 'cos I don't feel that it is a get-away for me here. I feel more at home in my mom's place. Well.. unless we've got ourselves a real house, one that have a family in there, i.e. my family. Not including any side of the family, I mean no in-laws from both side. That would be my heaven on earth.
To my kids, this is probably their kind of get-away 'cos they just love to be here. Over here, they can sit on the floor anywhere except the kitchen and toilets. Here, they always got new toys from their grandpa. Here they always meet up with their cousin. The cute boy in the block, he got the fairest skin I've ever seen, big eyes and just sweet look. I used to call him "leng loi" (=pretty girl). *wink*
Now all 3 of them sitting quietly on the same sofa enjoying their TV show. Wanna see how they look like when camera is on them?

School holiday

The school holiday is officially started for a week. Like usual, since the boys can't really stay under one roof and my mom is not able to watch over them all the time, so Mer ends up in the babysitter till eventhough he is not going to school.

As for Cal, poor boy, he is down with fever. I hope he'll recover soon before the trip to China. Else he might have problem in getting into that country.

Last night was a typical night for all of us, having my sisters and kids around. So the two boys can play with their cousins. There are lots of space in my mom's place since it is a kampung house with lots of front area. So all of them can ride on their bikes, scooter and rollerblade. Yupe! A gathering for the kids. During dinner time, they would eat more, and that is especially obvioius for Mer and Ru (Cousin). After dinner, they started their activities again. So by the end of the day when comes bed time, they would be exshausted and fall asleep pretty fast.

It happened also yesterday that Cal really get on my nerves. How you may ask. Well.. firstly he didn't listen and follow instructions, 2ndly, he argue. 3rd, he persisted that he is right. He has quite a character. Then to make it worst, he always grab toys from Mer and he is a sour grape.

After that I found it funny but I've already spank him for not listening. Terrible mom? You tell me and please share if you spank your kids.

Yupe, finally got some (ya.. some only) of my vacation photos developed. They are just too many now for me to choose. I should have got it develop once I've got my digicam back. Oh well.. too late now and it seems that the more I drag on, the lazier I get to develop them.
There were one part that all the photos we took during the zoo trip was over expose, so the result wasn't that good, contain lots of white patches on our forehead. *sigh*

Anyway, glad that I can finally look at some of them and maybe show them to my kids, I'm sure they would really love to look at their own photos. Kids!

There are still those that we took during Christmas that I haven't get them develop. Well.. they'll have to wait. Cos I was already having a hard time choosing in the print shop and didn't even realise that someone was waiting in line.

On another thing about baking.. well.. I didn't quite look at what I should do yet and further more I haven't got all those ingredient ready.. I might have to disappoint Cal tomorrow.. (another *sigh*)

Well.. at least today is a Friday, TGIF!

Making cupcake

I love baking actually and I've tried it years ago.. ya.. years ago, love baking and yet haven't been doing it now a days. Well.. mainly because I don't have the time, and further more, things that are bake are mostly consider "heaty" for us in the Chinese term. So I can't let the kid eat the end result right away especially when they are still warm. But those that I've made are better taste when they are warm. So sad huh..

I've actually bake cookies, chocolate cake, sponge cake, muffins/cupcake and cheesecake. Ya, that many different types. I remember when my grandpa was still around, his comment was "100 times you bake, and 100 different flavour you have." I took that as a compliment, but in fact, what he meant was I wasn't being consistence in my baking skill.

Last night, Cal was telling me on how to make cup cake! A 5 year old telling me how to bake!?
Well, at least it shows what interest him. When I ask where did he learnt that, he said "TV!"
Ok, alright, if that is where he learns it, I doubt that he'll know exactly what to do. He was even wanted to bake it this morning. Sounds so easy for him and since the TV doesn't show the exact time on how long it has been in the oven, Cal won't know how long that would be from just telling him the time. That's why he thought he can do it in a nick of time.

After some nagging from him and after all I do want to try how fun it could be to bake with kids, so I promised him that we are going to do that this weekend. Let's just hope this will let him know exactly how is it to bake things by using the oven. Keep my finger cross that the cake or whatever that I decided to bake will be whatever it should be.

The love of donut

My boys absolutely love donut. They'll request for it once they thought about it or when we almost pass the donut shop. Both of them have different taste, Mer is more to sweet and colourful ones, and chicken fross topping is definitely Cal's favourite. He can even eat up to 2 in one go!

So, yesterday I gave Mer a treat for being a good boy and since he has requested to have donut, I've stopped by Big Apple and got a box of 6. He especially pin pointing the green tea (not sure the glamour name of it). And there he goes, requested to eat it right when we got into the car.

After seeing his happy face and enjoyable expression, I just can't help it but stop on the road side to snap some photos of him.

Misbehaving or not being understood?

Yesterday I had an unpleasant time.
Let me start from the beginning. In the morning after getting almost everything done, i.e. laundry and packing things for the kids.I was enthusiastic in going to church to meet all my friends there after all these while that I've been missing church service.
I was worried how the kids would behave and praying that we'll have a great time there drawing near to God.
They were as excited as me. Getting there and seeing some of my friends were even better since there has been some times that I haven't met most of them. And I was the early one to get there too. So I had some times saying hello to friends. Cal keep on pulling me here and there to discover the place once again (since this wasn't the first time being in that premise). There were even an usher who thought that I were new there, so she welcomed me with a brochure, a treat that I haven't been enjoying all this while.
The setting of the service area wasn't that formal compare to the old church building. The place is carpeted and only few rows of chairs were available.
When the service started with singing praises. My two boys already warm up to the place and they started to run around the empty behind. In order to be able to watch over them, I moved myself to the end of the wall. Basically they were just running around with minimal noises compare to the life music that we had in there. To me it is totally fine as long as they don't start shouting or screaming and really disturbing others like climbing up the chairs.
For some times, I just let them like that 'cos the more I control them, the more they'll become restless. However this welcoming-me-in-usher came over and told me to stop them from running! Em.. I can't actually. And she even suggested me to let them run outside. But outside? Meaning I'll have to leave the place and would it be safer to do that whereby they can just open the door and run out to the road? So I just ignore and try to control them. I was still able to jot down some notes from the speaker by his slides show.
One part where there were a few shouts let out from Mer, then there were a teenage girl with short pants (doesn't she felt cold with the air-con?)came over and asked me if I know there is a nursery out there. Well.. maybe I have been rude and I've finished the sentence for her.
Till the part where my boys were really making noise, I packed up and went to check out the nursery room.
The short pants girl were out there and gave me that look sort of disapproval.
Feeling disappointed with the condition of the nursery room, with no carpet, far away from the service room, with only speakers to listen to the sermon, can't even see the real speaker, I went off. Off to have our enjoyable time elsewhere.
At first my thought was, maybe I should just stop going there and asking myself if really my boys were noisy? Were I just a bad mom after all? I felt really terrible having someone came over to tell me there is a nursery room available and look at me in one kind. Maybe I was just being over sensitive here. I don't know. I just felt that they are not really being understanding and not welcoming us.
I tell myself that I'll try again next week, after all my intention is to be able to join the service again.

My kids absolutely love it! Though they seldom want anything on them, not even the blanket at times, but I still have the blankets over them 'cos IT IS cold at night, well.. not as cold at in China now. Still I love the feel of a nice beautiful quilt on me *grin*

Precious time spent

Hubby is getting more excited now since we'll be vising him pretty soon. He is there counting down saying that it will be just another 2 weeks then he can see us again. Poor him..
As for the boys, they are always happy to know that they'll get on the plane again, and yes, flying to another continent is a joyful time for them especially with the change of weather, to a much cooler place and well.. no school for them, especially Cal. He definitely prefer that more than his school time.
This made me look back on the trip that we had in Hong Kong Disneyland, were we spent time together as a family. I miss those time and I hope that we'll soon be together living under the same roof and just us as a family.

Out in Alamesra

Ok, I don't normally do that.. I mean going off elsewhere far away from my normal-within-5Km places for my lunch (and blog about the food that I had). Ya.. that's what I did yesterday, simply because I've to be there to get things for my brother. It is not a new place, it is just new for me to look for a place to eat. Ok, some of you may be wondering where the heck did I go by now.

I went to Alamesra yesterday. First, I saw 1Borneo on the opposite road, which might just be a grand place to be when it is all up.

As for Alamesra, it doesn't seems like it is done yet, I mean those flowers or road side plants are not blooming and some not even planted, and I still can see some works being done on the pathway. Most of the shops are still closed, and basically it is just way out of town.

After getting what I needed for my brother, I start hunting for a place to eat, a decent one, maybe one that have many people inside (which BTW is an indication that the food is nice.) However with the one way road system that they have in Alamesra, it would be hard to turn back to the same place again without having to go all the way out, so finally I decided to just try this place that I past by which seems a decent place enough to sit down and enjoy my lunch.
Being the not so adventurous self, I went in with curiosity and also questioning how good the food would be.Found a place to sit which BTW, I don't have many choices, as it is really a rather small shop with really limited seats. But I saw some smokers in one table, so avoiding to smell like smoke later, I sat in a save distance away table.

The waitress was fast in giving me the menu which was even before I found the seat. A look at the menu and I was impressed by its colourful pictures. So I quickly get out my phone to snap some photos. (A digicam during this time would be too obvious)After only 2 snaps, the waitress was back again for my order. So I've pointed on the menu, "Honey chicken rice". Unfortunately it is not available, but why it is there in the menu on the first place? There is no sign saying that it is out of order or "we only have this and that today" thing. Then the waitress pointed the menu board behind the cashier, there.. those were the things that they are serving today. (Then don’t give me this menu la.. pointless.)

So I saw this "Chicken marinated rice", what the heck is that? It sounds like the rice is being marinated by chicken. I thought maybe it is “Ayam kicap” = marinated chicken. And THAT is exactly what is it. Then came to the part where I need to order my drink, when I turn back the menu, then only I realised there is no price on the drinks! NO PRICE???! Later I found out that the waitress is coming with a list of prices for the drinks, the type that you'll find in Yo-Yo ice (with Chinese).

I saw this Sumiyaki coffee, first time ever seeing that and keep on wondering what is it, a look at the Chinese character: 炭燒咖啡 (Charcoal preserved coffee?) then only I've got a bit of idea. Order that and requested for the price list, just want to take a close look at it.The drinks are from RM3 - RM4, which by the way are all cold drinks. Only after I got my coffee then I realised I've order a cold drink, was expecting my hot coffee *sigh*

The rice came in a nice setting. The marinated chicken taste ok, not salty enough for me. The rice.. oh well.. it taste like overnight rice 'cos some has dried up. So I didn't finished the whole plate even when I was hungry, just can't put myself in finishing this "overnight" rice.
Later while I was keying in things in my phone then the tauke-nyong (with a real 4-month-old baby on her arms) came over and ask "How is the food?". Dare you ask me!? Ok, I just told her frankly and bluntly that the rice taste like "overnight" rice. She looked stunned and couldn't speak for a little while. Then talked in a surprising voice claiming that there are people telling her that they tasted very nice. Oh well.. that is definitely not this customer that she is talked to. (Probably this is the 1st bad comment that she got. When I thought about it later, maybe I could have talked in a more gentle way.. but too late already.)

She even asked where I came from and where I work. What? Like you are going to hunt me down for giving you a bad comment? Or people outside from that area don’t go there to eat?
Ok, better finished up my drink and take another few snap and make myself disappear. I know it would be impossible to snap more photos without having them staring at me.. so I took some without being obvious, paid the bill and back to my office.The impressive menu is actually done in Hong Kong, that is according to the tauke-nyong. And about how I know the baby is 4-month-old, well.. she told me that. A rather friendly tauke-nyong, or probably she is worried what I would tell my friend about her restaurant.

Ok, folks, just go try out this new place in Alamesra call Yummy Yummy, it is facing the road, so you’ll be able to see it from the roadside.
Good or not, let you be the judge, she might have changed the type of rice as she claims that she doesn’t know what type of rice to choose. But hey, don’t you just use those that you like to eat and put it in your menu? I would.

Oh, another thing, have you heard of "Frothy Coffee"? 泡沫咖啡?

Polling station

The Malaysian General Election is coming, have you check where is your polling station yet? Just go here to check with your Identity Card number (without the hyphen). The best is to print it out and bring it to the polling station on that day, else might have to wait in the que for checking again.

Remember to be there on the 8th March and do your job as a citizen, don't let others do the selection for you. Choose your own candidate or choose the right party (if you are more concern on which partu to win).

Over the weekend

Finally our road has been properly sealed and it is so much nicer to drive up and down the hill and it seems like second, which compare to the old road which we need to be careful of those holes and our absorber that we need to drive carefully up and down. Now we were saying we need to be careful when getting down hill else we'll end up in the river down there below!

This was taken on last Saturday while the workmen came to unfasten the wood on the side of the road. My two boys being curious made themselves available as surveyor at the beginning of the work.

Later of the day, the boys got into the oversize boots that belongs for my parents and couldn't care less about getting dirty or hard to walk. Just seeing them enjoying the mud was fun for me and those smile and laughter are worth more than the jackpot.
Childhood, a time to enjoy the simple day to day fun.

To some of you, I might be just a Chinese girl who only listens to Chinese songs or English songs, but I do listen to Malay songs and I have a few favourites actually :D

Here is one that I came across today by Awie - Tiada lagi. It is a sad one, but the tunes just keep on swinging in my head once I listen to it. This song is especially memorable due to an ex-colleague of mine who loves this song and he used to just sing it in front of us, all we did was teasing him and said that he had spoiled the song.. hahaa.. well.. it was only joking.

Half way done

Hopefully today the road can be done and nicely seal. We had to leave our cars on the hill since the cement is not fully dried yet. So it is another adventure experience for Mer as I carried him down half way then my dad took over. As for this morning, Cal has to miss his class today since my dad can't fetch him from school, his car is stranded in the garage.
This morning we had to wear Phua Chu Kang sort of boots to go up the hill 'cos it is very slippery and I don't want to have muddy butt to get to the office. This time I had to carry Mer all the way up. Well.. at least the two boys are having fun seeing all this happening and experiencing how a road is being seal from the beginning.

Muddy road

We are having our road mended and hopefully it can be done today since we had been having rainy days these few days and past weeks. We had it flatten and since it is not gravel yet.. so it is very slippery and I almost stuck half way the day before. This morning I had to get my dad to pull my car up using his 4WD. Mer was excited to see all this activities and he was sitting next to me. So I suppose this is his fresh experience for having our car tow/pulled by another car in front.
As for Cal, he is having his holiday today since it is Chap Goh Mei. Normally it would be very hard to get him up and out from the bed in the morning, but not today. Today, he got up all by himself and earlier than always. Maybe that's the thing ya.. that he is not going to school, so that's why he wakes up early to see what's going on especially on the truck that has been parked in the compound for a few days now. He even wanted to climb up and play with the gear. That means I'll have to always watch over him just in case he really move the whole truck!

Scratched by a old-vegetarian-female-cat?

Ever got scratch by a cat? It hurts huh? Sometimes it even leaves a mark. Just imagine those few lines that Garfield left on the wall.. that's how it is and imagine if that were a real cat and it scratches you on a prominent place, even after recovery, it will still leave a mark there and maybe you would try to hide it with clothes. But what if the clothes can't do the job? Maybe should start looking for miracle cream to lighten it.
That's what happened to me during the holidays. I've been scratched by an old-vegetarian-female-cat (try to figure out what is that later). Maybe it happened because I'm a fast talker, or maybe because I'm Christian who loves God and yet don't want people condemning HIS name, or maybe because I'm more relax in teaching my kids, or maybe because I'm used to listen to my kids scream, seeing them having small fight and cry ('cos eventually they'll become friends again and still blood is thicker than water), or maybe it cos there is no forgiveness in the old cat's mind. What a bitter heard it would be if it were true. I would rather let go of all passed mistakes that I've done, forgive myself, or those that unto me, forgive them, then only I can free myself from all hatred. Hatred only makes us bitter.
Now I'm save under the care and wings of another old-non-vegetarian-female-cat whom is much happier with her life and always let go of things. Some part of me hopes that I don't have to meet the previous cat again in my life, but it is impossible. Maybe this is not the time for me to think about that yet, I'll just procrastinate it and start applying the rules of The Secret and start having happy thoughts again.

How did I celebrate my V day

Well.. nothing much actually since hubby is not around, he left the day before to Shen Zhen, China. No flowers, no chocolate, no candy, but I've got a not so valentine card from Mer. He made it in school, of course with instructions from the teacher and he only did the glittering parts. He doesn't understand what is V Day, not yet.. I didn't explain either.
One thing out of my expectation is, he said: "等下我們去結婚" = 'later we go get married". hahaha.. from a 2-and-a-half-year-old boy. But Mer, I can't marry you, 'cos I'm married to baba.. without giving up, he continues to asked me why .. how sweet..
My day continue on with the normal routine.. getting home for dinner which already prepared by my mom, then get the boys a bath each, then bed time story which the boys love and won't miss it every night. After they are sleeping, that's when my creative day begins, I enter into my scrapbooking world. Did a page about Mer but still haven't put in the journaling. Gonna post it up later in "The Daily".
That's about it, my valentine's day with kisses from my two sons, which is enough to make my day.
Happy belated Valentine's Day and hope we all treat our everyday as our Valentine's Day.

I always wonder if my boys are behaving normally in terms of playtime and characters. They seem to always in fighting mode. One is always teasing the other and the other always scream so loud that it hurts my ears. Well.. normally Cal is the one who loves to teas or get on Mer's nerve. Pushing him, grab his toys away, bump his tricycle, telling him things that he can't take, chasing him with the bicycle etc.

I found that Mer's cousin also doing that to him, he loves it especially when he had snatch toys from Mer's bag or hand or when Mer has walked away to get something else. hmm... I wonder why..

As for Mer, he got panic very fast and straight away scream once he found out that his toys have been taken away, his responded by shouting and sometimes hitting his elder brother and also his cousin. This of course doesn't happen if he is playing by himself, he can just play for a long time without making many noises. He just occupied himself with all his toy cars and arranges them in order.

I wish two of you (Cal and Mer) would play together more, would share more and would trust each other more. I hope you compete less with each other, 'cos you always wanna get my attention at the same time, competing on who gets the milk bottle first, who finished it first, who got more toys.. etc. I hope you two would become best of friends who shares your joy and sorrow together, I hope you love each other more everyday and standby each other side.

This is my hope to you...

Be positive

After listening to the audiobook - The Secret by Rhonda Byrne, which I've mentioned in my other blog, I then keep on telling or reminding myself to think positively, have happy thoughts and look at the good side of things, focus on the positive side of other people, and just be happy.
So all the while I was right, the news today contains all sad or negative news and I sometimes resist in reading them. A bad habit maybe for a librarian but still, whenever I read news, I tried to scan through first and try to ignore those negative news such as murder, accident, rape, poverty etc. And start reading those humour comic!
There are some questions being pondered in the audiobook. One that catches my ears is: Do what you love, If you don't know what brings you joy, ask: "What is my joy". As you commit to your joy, you'll attract an average joyful things, because you are radiating joy." I hope I hear it clearly.

On another account, I went to "Four Season" in Asia City Complex for lunch with hubby today. Being adventurous, we just walked in after seeing that there are some crowds in there. Surprisingly their respond in getting our order is slow and they don't have the menu for us to pick just like yo-yo ice. And the food? Oh well.. not up to my expectation, the porridge is not hot, the source is too sweet, but their "har gao" got fresh prawn and one of the waiter (the only Chinese) gave us good service. What I'm disappointed is that they don't have toilet available inside the premise.
well.. to focus on the good side, as least the "har gao" is nice :D

On board

This is last year photo of the boys on board to the plan to Hong Kong and then to ShenZhen, where we had spent our Christmas and New Year.
My boys.. When they are on board, they enjoyed it, the pressure doesn't put them into bad mood, the journey doesn't fret them. For the outbound journey, they had been goody-goody all through. Well.. As usual, they still fight, fortunately not until I can't control the situation. Mer slept half of the journey while me and cal had our food. Thank God that there are empty seats behind us, so there is where I've settle Mer in for his nap. However once Cal finished his food, he made some loud noise that woke Mer up.. still.. I did manage to have my food :D

Here.. the two sweetie pie snuggling up on board. I wish my every journey on board are like this one, with two jolly happy sweetie-pie.

Mer yearning to be in my mom's place

We have been staying in my in-laws home for several days now.. but my 2nd son, Mer still yearning to be back to his grandma instead.. he was so eager to go "home" yesterday evening that he forbit his elder brother, Cal to fall asleep, just in case if he fell asleep, we all won't be going to my mom's place. He keep on telling my father-in-law that he is going to sleep in grandma's place instead of my in-laws'. Secretly.. I'm happy for that.. 'cos he is just like me, prefer my mom's place instead. But of course I keep my mouth shut to give any comments, just don't want my in-laws to misundertand anything.

Home coming

Friday, 1st of February.. the day where my hubby is coming home, another hour away to fetch him from the air-port. Will have more than a week time with him. But too bad.. I'm not going to celebrate Valentines' Day with him.. well.. he'll be leaving on 13th. Let's make it everyday a D day then hon..
Got lots to tell him, lots to share about, lots of places and things to show him too, especially my scrapbook pages that I've done. Hope he'll love them and won't mind me continueing this hobby of mine. oh.. and big apple donut!
Well.. this is the time that he can spend with our sons.. the two boys who have been looking forward to see their papa .. maybe even more than me.. maybe he is their hero.. well.. they are still too young to express that yet.. but I bet they'll still look for me once came bed time, or story time, or bath time.. basically anytime other than the rough play time.

Ya.. Mer got sick with cough and slight fever. So no school for him today. He had lost his voice yesterday. First time I heard his voice like a rocker. Then early this morning he got slight fever. He suppose to have his regular clinic check-up tomorrow, but I guess I'll have to go today and maybe can kill two birds with one stone.
We got to the clinic early and got our number, which is 2nd in line to see the doctor. I've weighted and measure his height before that.. which looks good to me.. 12.5 Kg. After seeing the doctor and got the prescription, it was too late for me to que again to get him for his normal check-up .. so we'll have to go back there again tomorrow. Hope by that time, he has fully recovered and back to his normal cute voice.
